Food prices were very affordable, street food especially. The city is safe to walk around but stay aware at night. Air conditioning is a must in summer months here.
Avoid the main square eateries for meals, walk a block away for authentic food at better prices. Locals eat there, and you should too.
Not a huge fan of the city’s layout, a bit confusing and chaotic. However, the locals’ warmth made it worth the visit. Try the lamb dishes, they are a highlight.
Loved the food scene in Homs, really authentic and flavorful. Weather was hot in summer but manageable with a shaded café break. Stayed 4 days and it felt just right. Friendly locals made it special.
Homs has a raw charm, not polished but real. A bit dusty and crowds can be a hassle near the main areas. Food is decent but expect simple, traditional dishes mostly.
