Hurtige fakta: Halvdelen af parken ligger i den fugtige Valdivia-skov, mens den anden halvdel åbner sig mod vindslidte klitter ved havet. Nogle alerce-træer her er mere end 3600 år gamle og derfor ældre end mange europæiske byer.
Højdepunkter: De af vinden opblæste Cocao-klitter midt i den regnfulde skov ligner et naturligt indfald: på den ene side mosbeklædte rødder, på den anden en endeløs sandcirkel. I krattene lurer pudu, verdens mindste hjort, hvis fuldvoksne individ vejer mindre end ti kilo.
