Hurtige fakta: The collection spans from the Stone Age to the 20th century, holding over 7 million objects across its halls. One of its most famous pieces is the Celtic gold "Baden-Württemberg crown" and a stunning chain of 17 gold beads, both discovered in a princely grave near Stuttgart.
Højdepunkter: Deep in the prehistoric gallery sits the actual 2,700-year-old Celtic gold pectoral, its surface glinting with over 200 thumb-sized gold beads laid out in intricate patterns. You can press your face close to the glass and study the Hammered gold work that survived centuries underground, a piece so fine that modern conservators still aren't certain how it was forged.
