Hurtige fakta: Aristoteles-pladsen blev designet i 1918 af den franske arkitekt Ernest Hébrard, efter en ødelæggende brand, der brændte størstedelen af byen. Den er Thessalonikis største plads med en længde på over 300 meter og byder på en enestående udsigt over den Termæiske Bugt.
Højdepunkter: Hver morgen omkring kl. 10.00 fyldes pladsen med den intense duft af frisk kaffe og raslen af aviser, når de lokale samles på de traditionelle caféer. De færreste ved, at der under pladsen findes et helt netværk af gamle byzantinske mure og labyrinter, som blev opdaget tilfældigt under metroudgravninger.
