Hurtige fakta: Mere end 80.000 mennesker kan bede her på én gang på tværs af den store gårdhave og søjlehallerne. Byggeriet begyndte i slutningen af 1800-tallet under en kvindelig hersker, Nawab Shah Jahan Begum, og fortsatte i etaper over flere årtier.

Bring a wide-angle lens or phone with a panorama mode to capture the scale of the courtyard and the full reflection in the pool.
Visit on a Friday around noon to hear the call to prayer echo through the halls, but arrive early as it gets crowded.
Cover your head and remove shoes before entering the prayer hall, scarves are available at the entrance if you forget.
The upstairs galleries offer a quieter viewpoint overlooking the main courtyard and are often overlooked by visitors.
