Early morning or late afternoon is ideal for the visit, when the sunlight casts dramatic shadows on the rock wall. The weather is most favorable between May and October, while in the winter months some sections of the trails are covered in ice.

The gorge visit is free, you only have to pay for the use of the suspension bridge (approx. 3-5 euros). It is worth staying in nearby Peja, from where the valley can be reached by bus or taxi in 20 minutes.

Hurtige fakta: Den 25 kilometer lange og 650-1000 meter dybe kløftdal ligger i Perjeshát-bjergene. Dalen er blevet udgravet af Peja-bækken gennem tiden, hvilket har gjort den til et af de bedste steder til vildtvandskajak på Balkan.
Højdepunkter: I kløften ligger den 642 meter lange Gryka e Rugovës hængebro, under hvilken der gaber en 130 meter dyb afgrund. Når man går over broen, føles det, som om man træder i luften, mens bækkens brusen ekkoer mellem klippevæggene.

- Wear waterproof shoes, because you have to wade through the stream in a few places during the hike.
- It is worth going to the Gryka e Rugovës suspension bridge at sunset, the colors and lights are stunning.
- Don't miss the detour leading to the Vlashnjë waterfall, which is a 20-minute easy walk from the main trail.
- It is best to come on weekdays, because Kosovo tourists flood the valley on the weekends.
