Hurtige fakta: Det årlige besøgstal når op på omkring 30.000 gæster, og på væggene skifter over 40 navne på madagaskiske kunstnere, fra unge debutanter til anerkendte mestre. Næsten halvdelen af de udstillede lærreder finder købere allerede før den officielle åbning af udstillingen.
Højdepunkter: De mest elektrificerende er ferniseringerne, hvor kunstnerne maler live til lyden af valiha, et traditionelt madagaskisk citerinstrument. Flere hundrede gæster følger i én sal med i, hvordan et lærred går fra en tom blændramme til et færdigt maleri i løbet af en enkelt aften.
