Hurtige fakta: Porten bærer en stormesters våbenskjold hugget i sten over indgangen, et symbol på den magt, som engang kontrollerede denne passage. Gennem portens hvælving har riddere, soldater og handelsmænd bevæget sig i over 300 år.

Look for the arrow slits in the stone walls on both sides of the passage, they reveal the gate's defensive function.
The best photo is taken from below with the gate framing the narrow street and the stairs behind.
Avoid hours between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM when cruise ships send large groups to the area.
Combine the visit with a trip to the Innsida Fortifications Visitor Centre nearby to better understand the defensive works.
