The food scene blew me away, fresh and flavorful but expect some lines at popular spots. Weather was mostly sunny during spring, perfect for walking around. I'd say 5 days gives you a good feel without rushing.
Avoid taxis at main tourist spots, they tend to overcharge. Use shared minibuses, way cheaper and you get to meet locals. Ask around for schedules, they're not widely advertised.
The cultural history here is rich, but things can feel tense at times. Loved chatting with locals, really gave me a deeper perspective. 3-4 days was enough for me though.
Packed streets on weekends, especially near religious sites. Food is delicious but pricey near the main tourist areas, walk out a bit to save.
Had a mostly positive experience, but the limited public transport made moving around tricky. Would advise renting a car if you want freedom to explore outside city centres.
