Hurtige fakta: Tre adskilte romerske villaer fra 300-tallet overlapper hinanden på dette sted nær Faro, hvor den ene er bygget direkte oven på den anden. Det bevarede havtematiske fiskemosaik strækker sig over 40 kvadratmeter og viser stadig spor af sine oprindelige klare farver.
Højdepunkter: I modsætning til de fleste romerske ruiner, der kun viser fundamenter, står dele af Milreus villavægge stadig to etager højt og skaber rigtige rum, man kan gå igennem i stedet for at forestille sig. Højdepunktet er det tempelformede vandhelligdom, hvor man stadig kan se kanalerne, der engang førte vand til rituelle bade.

- Bring a small flashlight to see details in the darker corners of the bath complex where shadows hide mosaic work.
- Walk around to the back of the site for an elevated view that shows the full villa layout from above.
- Visit right at opening time on weekdays to have the entire site nearly to yourself.
