Hurtige fakta: Paladset blev bygget af italiensk marmor og lokal sten i årene 1920 til 1926 for sultan Mohamoud Ali Shirwa. Efter en brand i 2020 står kun den massive stenfacade tilbage, som stadig er et populært sted for aftenlige sammenkomster blandt lokale beboere.
