Hurtige fakta: Uldproduktion gjorde denne by enormt rig i oldtiden, hvor lokale får var værdsat for deres dyb lilla-sorte uld. Et voldsomt jordskælv jævnede byen med jorden i det 7. århundrede og efterlod ruinerne begravet under 10 meter alluvialt silt.
