If you want to save money, eat at the small roadside spots away from the main beach areas. Also, take the ferry early morning to beat the crowds and get better prices on transport.
Ko Lanta is chill with great food stalls everywhere. Weather was hot and humid but manageable. Stayed 4 days, felt just right for a relaxing break.
The seafood here is fresh and cheap. Loved the night markets, perfect for trying local dishes. Would come back in the cooler season next time.
The beaches are nice but can get crowded mid-day. Prices were higher than expected for local standards, but still doable. Loved the chill vibe overall.
Weather was a bit rainy during our visit, which was disappointing. Still enjoyed the quiet evenings and laid-back atmosphere.
