As a fellow native Ljubljanian, I highly recommend coming in June or late August, best weather and just enough crowds to have something to do! :D
Prešeren Square is buzzing with life, especially during holidays, though the crowds can be a bit much. Still, Ljubljana has this unique blend of old-world charm and lively modern vibes that I enjoyed overall.
Ljubljana Castle truly stole my heart with its panoramic views and cozy courtyards. The whole city feels so charming and relaxed, perfect for a weekend getaway with a bit of history and great food in one place.
Metelkova Mesto’s street art is fascinating and a cool urban contrast in Ljubljana. The city feels artsy and calm by day but some parts can feel a little too quiet or awkward if you’re not into the alternative scene.
I had high hopes for Dragon Bridge but it was super crowded and honestly a bit underwhelming. Despite that, Ljubljana itself seems pretty nice but I wish more attractions were less touristy and more original.
