Honestly, the Tube is a lifesaver but avoid rush hour unless you enjoy sardine can experiences. Walk a bit outside central zones for quieter streets.
If you want to save, get an Oyster card instead of single fares. It caps daily spend and makes hopping on buses and trains easier than fiddling with tickets.
London's weather was tougher than I expected, mostly cloudy and drizzly. Still, the city's vibe and history kept me exploring non stop for five days.
Food was a mixed bag, great pies and street eats, but the fancy places felt pricey and underwhelming. Worth trying the local markets though!
Loved the blend of old and new architecture. The Tower of London was cool but super crowded. Evening strolls along the Thames were the highlight.
