The Parque das Aves bird sanctuary is worth the detour, but get there early to avoid long lines.
Weather was hotter than expected but the waterfalls made it worth every sweaty step. Give yourself 3 days to soak it all in.
Avoid the souvenir stands near the falls, walk 10 minutes back for better prices and quality stuff.
Overall vibe chill but some areas downtown felt a bit sketchy after dark. Use common sense and stick to main streets.
