Nopeat faktat: Some 8,000 plant species thrive across 5 hectares of carefully designed landscapes and greenhouses here. Four climate zones are represented in the glasshouses, from Mediterranean dryness to tropical humidity that hits you like a warm wall.

The greenhouse mimics the Amazon basin's seasonal flood cycles, complete with a heating system that keeps the water at a precise 28 degrees Celsius year-round.
