• Start on the top Parthenon Gallery and work downward, that sequence avoids backtracking during peak hours.
• Use the museum rooftop and the west side of the top floor for the best Parthenon photos, bring a zoom for details of the frieze.
• Skip the crowded lower display cases at midday, return later when tour groups have moved on and the displays are calmer.
