Nopeat faktat: Sikh tradition holds that Baba Bakala was where Guru Tegh Bahadur spent nine years in deep meditation before being identified as the ninth Sikh Guru. The gurudwara's central sanctum still contains the exact well where he would draw water daily, now considered highly sacred.
Kohokohdat: Unlike most gurudwaras, this one surrounds a 300-year-old well that Guru Tegh Bahadur used for his daily ablutions. You can still see the original brickwork and the narrow staircase leading down to the water, where devotees quietly sit in meditation just as he once did.
