Nopeat faktat: Roughly 19 hectares of green space surround a canal that once served as the city's defensive moat. Come spring, the water fills with nesting swans and ducklings that regulars stop to feed on their lunch breaks.

Kohokohdat: The park's softly rolling hills are actually the buried remnants of 16th century bastion ramparts, old fortifications that still shape the land you walk on. At a small wooden crossing known as the lovers' bridge, couples have been snapping padlocks onto the railings since the 1990s, and on calm days you can hear hundreds of them clinking against the metal in the breeze.
