Nopeat faktat: Tämä puolikuun muotoinen ranta ulottuu 1,5 kilometriä Palermonlahden varrella ja sen jauhemainen valkoinen hiekka tuntuu jauhoilta varpaiden välissä. Vesi pysyy matalana lähes 100 metrin matkan, joten uiminen tuntuu valtavassa lämpimässä kylpyammeessa.
Kohokohdat: Pohjoispäässä on mahtava puinen laituri nimeltä "Antemurale", josta paikalliset teinit yhä hyppäävät turkoosiin veteen niin kuin he ovat tehneet sukupolvien ajan. Tästä kohdasta näkymä ulottuu jugendtyylisten kylpylärakennusten ohi aina Monte Pellegrinon valtavalle kalkkikivijyrkänteelle, joka vartioi koko poukamaa.

- Skip the central section near the parking lot where everyone piles in, walk 10 minutes to the left toward the pier for more space and better water.
- Bring water shoes because the first few meters near the shore have small pebbles before the sand smooths out.
- The lido restaurants charge triple for drinks compared to the market stalls on Via Piano di Stella just two blocks inland.
- Come back at sunset when the locals swim in the golden light and the limestone cliff turns pink.
