Nopeat faktat: Vuonna 1810 paikallisen apteekin ja lääketieteellisen korkeakoulun tueksi perustettu kasvitieteellinen puutarha säilyttää edelleen osan alkuperäisistä lääkekasveistaan. Nykyään se käsittää yli 4 500 kasvilajia Sloveniasta ja ympäri maailmaa, mukaan lukien 200 uhanalaista lajia.
