Nopeat faktat: This tear-shaped coastal outcrop stretches about 1.2 kilometers along the shoreline, crowned by the 38-meter Dongbaek Lighthouse at its northern tip. Roughly 500,000 visitors trek its coastal walking path each year, drawn by the crashing waves and panoramic views across the strait toward Japan.

Kohokohdat: The beating heart here is the 4.8-kilometer coastal walkway where the sea thunders against volcanic rock just meters from your feet, and on clear days the view stretches all the way to Tsushima Island in Japan. Watch for the bronze statue of the mermaid from the classic legend, who is said to have shed tears of longing for a fisherman she loved, and you'll understand why locals call this the "tear island."
