Nopeat faktat: Luola numero 2 yksinään sisältää yli 16 000 neliöjalkaa maalattua Buddha-kuvastoa, tarpeeksi seinämaalauksia peittämään lähes neljä koripallokenttää. Kompleksin viisi luolaa suojelevat 153 Buddha-patsasta sekä kuninkaiden ja jumalien patsaita, kaikki veistettyinä kiinteästä graniittikallion seinämästä.
Kohokohdat: Yhdessä luolassa on 14-metrinen makaava Buddha, joka on veistetty elävästä kalliosta, ja siinä on piilotettu tyynyontelo, johon munkit aikoinaan kätkivät arvokkaita käsikirjoituksia. - Stand at the back of cave 2 near the entrance to photograph the full row of Buddha statues with natural light framing them.
- Skip the golden Buddha statue at the base of the climb, it is a modern addition and the real treasure is 500 steps above.
- Visit on a weekday during shoulder season (April or September) when fewer tour groups fill the narrow cave pathways.
