Nopeat faktat: The Prime Meridian runs right through this spot, marking the division between the Eastern and Western Hemispheres. Visitors can stand with one foot in each hemisphere while exploring the site.
Kohokohdat: The Royal Observatory houses the historic Flamsteed House where you can see the Shepherd Gate Clock, displaying Greenwich Mean Time to passersby since 1852. The atmosphere at the observatory is charged with history and science, letting you literally touch the exact line from which all global time zones are calculated.
