Nopeat faktat: Linnoitus kohoaa 20 metriä korkeana, ja sen seinät on tehty tiivistetystä maasta. Se kattaa noin 4 hehtaaria keskistä Buharaa. Venäläisten joukkojen pommitettua linnaketta vuonna 1920 vain noin 20 prosenttia alkuperäisistä rakennuksista säilyi.

- Visit the small throne room on the right after entering the main gate, it has the most intact original ceiling paintings from the 19th century.
