Late afternoon, around 4-6 PM, when the light turns golden over the surrounding plains and the crowds have thinned out. Spring and autumn offer the most comfortable walking weather for the steep climb.

Legend says the walls were built with the help of a mother who was walled into the structure so it would stand, giving the site its famous "Rozafa" origin story.
