The best things to do in Prizren, Kosovo, start at the 500-year-old Prizren Stone Bridge. From there it takes about 20 minutes to walk up to Prizren Fortress, which crowns the hill above the old town center. Down in the square, Sinan Pasha Mosque from 1615 dominates, with its characteristic dome and minaret.
1. Sinan Pasha Mosque
Dome, riverbank and old town center give one of the finest views in the region. Inside, ceiling paintings, silence and the scent of old wood and carpets await.

2. Prizren Fortress
The city's best panoramic view is just 20 minutes up from the square. You wander through 900-year-old tower ruins while the river and the red roofs spread out beneath you.
Γρήγορα στοιχεία: From the top you turn your gaze out over the city's red roofs, the river's winding course and a mountain range that reaches 2,500 meters, a view that made sense to the builders for well over a thousand years. The walls stretch over more than two hectares in three defensive levels, where Byzantine remains from the 6th century meet Ottoman additions from the 16th and 17th centuries.

3. Our Lady of Ljeviš

Do you want to stand on the exact spot where the entire nation was created? Genuine meeting rooms, handwritten telegrams and a cozy stone courtyard await inside the doors.

One walk across the smooth stones gives you all the old town magic in ten minutes. From here you see minarets, old houses and people filling bottles with cool river water.

The steps up from rushing spring water lead to a view you won't soon forget. Here you bathe your feet in ice-cold water, eat by the river and end the evening with a panoramic view over the whole city.

Simple whitewashed facade, explosively colorful interior in the middle of the old town. Step into a world of trompe-l'oeil paintings and hushed calm just a few meters from the crowds.

A 17th-century bathhouse where you can count the domes and feel the cold stone beneath your feet. The walk goes from hot to cold through marble pools and vaulted rooms, just like in Ottoman times.

Skip the restaurants right on the river, grab food a block up in the old bazaar instead. Same quality, genuinely half the price.
Loved the old town but July was brutal, no shade anywhere near the river. Fortress view at sunset worth the climb though.
Climb to Kalaja fortress right before sunset. Its free, way cooler, and you get the whole town lit up below you. Easily the best thing here.
Pretty little town, some real Ottoman architecture. But honestly you can see it all in one day, wasn't much else going on.
The whole town runs on coffee and good vibes. Sat by the river for hours, food was cheap and amazing. Three days felt right.
