• Skip the main paths and explore the quieter sections near the back of the arboretum where the oldest trees stand.
• Visit after a light rain when the scents from the herb garden are strongest and the flower colors appear more saturated.
• Wear comfortable walking shoes, the gravel paths stretch farther than they look and you'll want to explore every corner.
