• Visit on a Saturday morning when the nearby Kalvarijų turgus market spills into the adjacent streets with fresh produce and flowers.
• The square gets very hot in summer with little shade, so bring water and a hat if visiting midday.
• Photograph the contrast between the baroque church facade and the stark Soviet administrative buildings across the square for a striking shot.
