Γρήγορα στοιχεία: Stretching over 1.2 kilometers, these medieval fortifications once wrapped the entire old town in a protective stone embrace. Nearly 80 percent of the original walls remain intact, making them one of the best-preserved town wall systems in Slovakia.

Walk along the narrow path beside them and you can still spot original arrow slits and a 16th-century Renaissance bastion with walls over two meters thick.
