Γρήγορα στοιχεία: Rising 200 meters above the surrounding jungle, this massive granite outcrop was once part of the same rock formation as Sigiriya before centuries of erosion split them apart. Monks lived in caves on this hill for over 2,000 years, and a 3rd century BCE Buddhist monastery still has visible inscriptions and meditation platforms carved into the stone.

- The huge reclining Buddha at the base is modern, keep climbing past it to find the ancient cave monastery with original 1,500-year-old inscriptions.
- Bring a small flashlight or use your phone torch for the dark cave section near the top, it's pitch black and uneven inside.
- Skip the last 30 minutes before sunset, the descent in twilight is genuinely dangerous on the rocky sections.
