Gyors tények: A 500-light display illuminates the exterior at night, making the white marble glow against the North Saskatchewan River valley. The grounds hold over 1,000 trees and the carved sandstone details include beavers, wheat sheaves, and other Alberta symbols.

On summer Wednesdays, bagpipers march across the lawn during the Changing of the Guard ceremony, a tradition carried over from the original Parliament buildings in Quebec.
