Gyors tények: A partvonal mentén 4,5 kilométeren át húzódó burkolt ösvény a Semiahmoo nép által egykor bejárt útvonalat követi, akik évezredeken át gyűjtögettek itt kagylókat és lazacot. Főbb látnivalók: Apálykor az öböl több mint két kilométert visszahúzódik, hatalmas árapálysíkságot tárva fel, ahol ezrével figyelhetők meg a vándorló partimadarak, amint az iszapban élő gerinctelenekkel táplálkoznak. - Bring binoculars: the tidal flats attract sandpipers, herons, and sometimes snowy owls in winter.
- Wear layers even in summer as the ocean breeze can be cool, especially from late afternoon onward.
- Skip the middle section on weekends if you prefer quiet; the west end near the promenade stays busier.
