- Wear a waterproof, windproof jacket and sturdy shoes, paths can be muddy and winds strong.
- Arrive at opening or late afternoon to dodge coach crowds, allow at least 60 minutes for main viewpoints.
- For classic shots use the area around O'Brien's Tower, then walk 10-20 minutes north for quieter, rugged angles.
- Stay on marked paths and behind fences, cliff edges are unstable and enforcement can be strict.
