Gyors tények: A fehér homok közel 2 kilométeren át húzódik Malapascua-sziget nyugati partja mentén, a víz olyan tiszta, hogy a partról is észreveszed a tengeri csillagokat. Kókuszpálmák hajolnak a partvonal fölé, délutáni árnyékokat vetve a néhány bambuszkunyhóra és strandbárra.

Főbb látnivalók: Minden reggel napkeltekor a helyi halászok hagyományos, élénkkék és sárga színűre festett kitámasztott csónakjaikkal közvetlenül a homokra húzzák a napi fogást. Az árusok kókuszdióhéj-tűzön grillezik a reggeli zsákmányt közvetlenül a strandon, füsttel és friss tengeri ételek illatával töltve meg a levegőt, még mielőtt a legtöbb turista felébredt volna.

• Walk north past the main beach area for complete solitude, where the sand continues uninterrupted for another 500 meters with barely a soul in sight.
• Skip eating at resort restaurants and head to the bamboo shacks near the boat landing area at lunchtime, where locals serve fresh grilled seafood for 150-200 PHP ($3-4 USD).
• Bring reef-safe sunscreen and a rash guard, as the shallow reef just offshore makes for excellent snorkeling and the tropical sun is intense.
• Visit during a new moon for incredible bioluminescent plankton that lights up the water like stars when you splash at night.
