Gyors tények: Az ovális tér olyan területet foglal el, amely 1894-ig nyílt tenger volt, amikor a munkások feltöltötték a kikötőt, hogy megalkossák a mai teret. Az itt 1692-ben született Giuseppe Tartini barokk hegedűművész tiszteletére bronzszobrot állítottak, amelyet a helyiek a "hegedűsnek" becéznek.

Főbb látnivalók: A fehér kő alatt egy feltöltött kikötő húzódik, ahol egykor hajók kötöttek ki, a tengeri múlt pedig a tér ovális körvonalában köszön vissza, az alatta húzódó medence néma visszhangjaként. Giuseppe Tartini 1896-ban öntött bronzszobra a tenger felé néz, amely egykor a teret nyaldosta, és minden nyáron az ő tiszteletére előadott hegedűzene tölti meg a levegőt.
