Visit between March and June when the cloud cover sits higher, giving you better visibility from the viewpoints. Early morning is best for hearing the forest come alive with birdsong and seeing the mist weave between the treetops.

Entry to the park is completely free since it's a natural protected area. The biggest expense is getting there: a rental car costs around 30-40 EUR per day, or the 077 bus from Santa Cruz runs for about 5 EUR each way.
