Gyors tények: A Ratnapura város központjában található szentélyben egy Suman nevű istenséget imádnak, akit a buddhizmusban úgy tartanak számon, mint aki elsőként érintette meg a Buddha lábait. Évente több ezer hívő érkezik ide a rathajatra és a Perahera ünnepségekre, amelyek a régió legnagyobb vallási eseményei.

- Coming during prayer time (6:30-7:30 AM), the sight of the aarti performed by the priest is very special
- Photography is limited inside the temple complex, do not forget to seek permission from the priest first
- Come wearing white or light colored traditional clothes, entry is not allowed in shorts and t-shirts
- There is a small garden behind the main temple which is perfect for meditating away from the city noise
