Gyors tények: You can paddle a flat-bottom skiff along a winding river and hear more than 200 bird species in the canopy, from red-shouldered hawks to wintering waterfowl. Winding trails and boardwalks total about 12 miles, leading past steep limestone bluffs, a marsh boardwalk and a dramatic quarry face where weekend climbers often line up.

4.0Got there at 8am on a Saturday, trails were quiet, free entry and friendly staff. Kayak rental cost was worth it for river views.
Family visit at 3pm, kids liked the playground but the guided nature program felt pricey. Trails are nice but get hot in the afternoon.
Came around noon on Sunday, parking was tight and trails crowded. Small donation suggested, but the boardwalk and wildlife made it worth the trip.
