Szybkie fakty: The entire museum sits eight meters below ground level, its galleries hugging the towering granite walls of a dry dock carved out in 1856. Over 13,000 objects fill the collections, including a full lighthouse from 1912 that you can actually climb inside.

Nearly 300 meters of continuous walkway let you glide from ground level to the pit floor, passing the original repair dock where huge vessels once floated directly overhead.
