Szybkie fakty: The museum occupies the former home and studio of Joaquín Sorolla, the Valencian painter famous for his luminous beach scenes. Over 1,200 of his works are preserved here, displayed across three galleries and the lush gardens he personally designed.

You can stand exactly where he painted some of his most celebrated works, with the same lemon trees and ceramic fountains still framing the view.
