Had some amazing Cuban coffee and local rum bars. The weather was a bit hot for me, but the ocean breeze helped. Also, the nightlife is very laid back but enjoyable.
Varadero's beaches are stunning, but go early to avoid crowds. Food was decent but mostly heavy on seafood. Loved the chill vibe and stayed 5 days. Good spot to unwind.
If you like seafood, you’ll be happy. Try the street food stalls away from the main drag. Weather was nice, a little too humid at night. Good place to chill but not a lot of cultural stuff nearby.
Pretty sunny when we went in March, perfect for beach time. A bit touristy though, prices were higher than expected. Would stay shorter next time, maybe 3 days.
Don’t change money at airports, the rates are a rip off. Grab snacks from local stores on the side streets to save a bundle on food at the beach.
