Rýchle fakty: Jeho 55 chrámov, svätýň a palácov bolo postavených najmä z pálených červených tehál a drevených rezieb s prepracovaným dizajnom. Zemetrasenie v roku 2015 zničilo niekoľko štruktúr, ale námestie bolo starostlivo obnovené tradičnými technikami.
Zaujímavosti: Stále sa tu v každodenných nápisoch používa "Nepal Bhasa", jazyk starý stáročia, ktorý si zachovalo len málo miest. Zvuk dlát remeselníkov obnovujúcich ručne vyrezávané drevo je súčasťou každodennej zvukovej kulisy námestia.
