Hidden below, a maze of cool corridors and painted chambers holds carved reliefs and eerie silence, and recent restorations have surprisingly revealed traces of bright pigments and intricate decorations.

Local guides still whisper about sealed clay jars and scarab-stamped sealings bearing the pharaoh's name, some of which give off a faint hint of myrrh or resin when a shaft is opened at dawn.
