Rýchle fakty: Piesok sa tiahne v dĺžke viac ako 300 metrov pozdĺž Biskajského zálivu a vďaka silným atlantickým prúdom sa medzi ročnými obdobiami dramaticky mení. Surferi jazdia na týchto vlnách od 50. rokov 20. storočia, keď miestni plavčíci začali prvýkrát stáť na svojich doskách.
Zaujímavosti: Pri odlive ustupujúca voda odhalí širokú, pevnú piesočnú plošinu, ktorú miestni využívajú ako improvizovanú bežeckú dráhu a ihrisko na plážový futbal, scénu, ktorá je pri prílive úplne neviditeľná. V zime si všimnite silné príbojové vlny, ktoré môžu dosiahnuť výšku až 6 metrov priamo na okraji vody, podívanú, ktorá priťahuje davy dokonca aj v januári.
