Rýchle fakty: Vytesaný výhradne z červenozlatého pieskovca, viac ako 60 tanečných postáv zdobí vonkajšie steny chrámu vo výrazných pózach. Chrám nie je pomenovaný podľa žiadneho kráľovského spojenia, ale podľa miestneho žltkastého kameňa nazývaného Rajarani, ktorý mu pri západe slnka dodáva medovú žiaru.
Zaujímavosti: Na rozdiel od väčšiny chrámov, ktoré venujú steny bohom a bohyniam, vonkajším panelom tu dominujú nebeské nymfy nazývané najikás zachytené uprostred tanca, pri líčení alebo dokonca pri vyťahovaní tŕňa z nohy. Týchto 64 pôvabných postáv zaujíma rôzne pózy a mení chrám na zamrznutú choreografiu uríšskeho života a krásy z 11. storočia.
