Rýchle fakty: Založené gréckymi kolonistami v roku 734 pred Kr., toto bolo v skutočnosti úplne prvé grécke osídlenie na celom ostrove Sicília. Mesto bolo úplne zničené Dionýziom I. zo Syrakúz v roku 403 pred Kr. a už nikdy nebolo obnovené, takže ruiny zostali zmrazené v čase presne tak, ako boli opustené.
Zaujímavosti: Prejdite sa po základoch obytnej štvrte z 5. storočia pred Kr., kde stále môžete vysledovať obrysy jednotlivých miestností, ulíc a dokonca aj starovekého odvodňovacieho systému.
