1. Sliema Promenade

February was windy as hell but the sun still felt warm. Loved wandering the back streets away from the waterfront, that's where the real local cafes are.
Sliema surprised me honestly. Way more laid back than I expected for Malta. Three days felt right, any longer and I'd have been bored honestly.
The promenade walk from Sliema to St Julians at sunset is the best free thing in Malta. Grab a pastizzi from any corner shop and just walk.
If you're coming in summer book accommodation with AC and a pool. The concrete heats up like an oven and the sea breeze disappears in July. Trust me.
September was perfect weather wise but the whole promenade was packed with day trippers from cruise ships. Go early morning or after 6pm to actually enjoy the walk.
