Most fly into Puerto Princesa (PPS), which is just outside town center. From the airport, a tricycle or van ride to downtown takes under 15 minutes.

Got 4 days of rain in the wet season and all my boat plans sank. Palm trees and rain not exactly postcard material. Pick your month carefully.
Book the earliest morning ferry between islands. The afternoon runs are choppy, half the boat ends up seasick. Get a window seat near the back.
Skip tour desks at hostels. Carry a fat stack of cash before you leave the city, island ATMs run dry fast. Also negotiate in peso, not dollars.
Ended up staying twice as long as planned. Every beach felt empty and the food was stupid good, especially the kinilaw at random roadside spots.
Amazing scenery, honestly, but everything runs on island time. Tours start late, transfers eat whole days. Go with the flow or you'll get frustrated.
